[Human Resources Assistant Staff (Part Time)]
We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time HR Assistant to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. This role will assist with payroll preparation, HR projects, employee record monitoring, and recruitment activities. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and able to handle confidential information while supporting a positive and compliant workplace.

Terms of Employment:
Part-Time
Wage:
$18.50 ~ $20 per hour
Regular Work Hours:
Monday– Friday, 4~5 hours per day; 20~30 hours per week (all hours On-Site)
(Business Hours of Operation is 8:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot the time tracking system.
- Track employee attendance, vacation, sick leave, and banked time.
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing.
- Prepare and organize time sheets and pay stubs.
- Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including preparing and distributing T4s.
HR Projects & Policies
- Assist with HR projects and research.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Help prepare materials for employee programs, training, and orientations.
Employee Records & Monitoring
- Maintain and update employee records, attendance, benefits, and WCB-related documentation.
- Assist with compliance monitoring and HR administrative processes.
- Support employee evaluations, investigations, and disciplinary processes when required.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Help prepare employment agreements and new hire documentation.
- Assist with onboarding and new employee orientation.
General HR Support
- Prepare internal HR announcements and notices.
- Assist with company events and employee recognition activities.
- Provide occasional reception and administrative support as needed.
Preferred Experience (Asset but Not Required)
While not required, experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
- Prior experience in HR-related work or a relevant field.
- Some understanding of government employment standards and practices.
- Experience with payroll processing, group benefits administration, or workplace safety.
- Experience assisting with interviews and the hiring cycle.
- Experience assisting in developing or implementing company procedures and policies.
