Product Development & Information Associate
Terms of Employment:
Full-Time
Wage Range:
$20-$22 per hour
Regular Work Hours:
Monday– Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (8-hour shift), 40 hours per week
Main Job Responsibilities:
BASIC TASKS
- Understand Facility Capabilities & Product History
- Understand Company Direction & Business Plan
- Related Meeting Preparations & Participation
- Related Sample & Document preparations
- Maintain Clean & Organized Work Environment
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
- Formulate Benchtop Recipe of New Products
- Revise Recipe for Improvements on Existing Products
- Communicate with Vendors, Clients, and External Partners to achieve goals
- Create Samples & Cost Calculations
- Create Product HACCP Plans
- Perform assigned Product Quality Control – Shelf life, Sensory, etc.
- Lead Production Trials & Assist in Corrective Actions as needed
- Lead and liaison between multiple departments with all aspects of Product Launch
- Annual Review of Documentation Files
PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Create & Maintain Labels for all Company Products
- Create & Maintain Spec Sheets for all Company Products
- Be knowledgeable of applicable Regulations
- Be proactive on Information Accuracy
- Annual Review of Information Files
Pre-requisites, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field
- FoodSafe Level 1 would be an asset, but the company can provide training courses.
- Knowledge of Food Preparations (Knowledge in Japanese Food is a plus)
- Knowledge of HACCP is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Digital Literacy
- Excellent Communication Skills both Written & Verbal
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Recommended No Food Allergy
