Product Development & Information Associate

Terms of Employment:
Full-Time 

Wage Range:

$20-$22 per hour 

Regular Work Hours:
Monday– Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (8-hour shift), 40 hours per week 

 

Main Job Responsibilities: 

BASIC TASKS

  • Understand Facility Capabilities & Product History
  • Understand Company Direction & Business Plan
  • Related Meeting Preparations & Participation
  • Related Sample & Document preparations
  • Maintain Clean & Organized Work Environment 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Formulate Benchtop Recipe of New Products
  • Revise Recipe for Improvements on Existing Products
  • Communicate with Vendors, Clients, and External Partners to achieve goals
  • Create Samples & Cost Calculations
  • Create Product HACCP Plans
  • Perform assigned Product Quality Control – Shelf life, Sensory, etc.
  • Lead Production Trials & Assist in Corrective Actions as needed
  • Lead and liaison between multiple departments with all aspects of Product Launch
  • Annual Review of Documentation Files

PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • Create & Maintain Labels for all Company Products
  • Create & Maintain Spec Sheets for all Company Products
  • Be knowledgeable of applicable Regulations
  • Be proactive on Information Accuracy
  • Annual Review of Information Files

    Pre-requisites, Knowledge, Skill Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field
    • FoodSafe Level 1 would be an asset, but the company can provide training courses.
    • Knowledge of Food Preparations (Knowledge in Japanese Food is a plus)
    • Knowledge of HACCP is a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Digital Literacy
    • Excellent Communication Skills both Written & Verbal
    • Ability to lift 25lbs
    • Recommended No Food Allergy
