Veggie Karaage Nugget
One of the most popular dishes in Japan is Karaage, most commonly made with Chicken. Karaage is a type of Deep Fried Nuggets using light dusting of starch coating for crunchy exterior and has juicy marinated ingredient inside. Veggie Chicken Teriyaki is pre-seasoned with essential flavour base so you can skip the marinade. This Vegetarian version is so delicious, you won't miss the meat!
|"Veggie Chicken Teriyaki" nuggets||300 g|
|Garlic Paste||1 Tsp|
|Ginger, grated||1 Tsp|
|Black pepper||(to taste)|
|Canola Oil||For Deep Frying|
|[Karaage Dusting Powder]|
|Potato Starch||1/2 Cup|
|Wheat Flour||1/2 Cup|
- 1. Preheat Canola Oil for deep frying.
2. In a bowl, mix “Veggie Chicken Teriyaki” and Seasonings.
3. In a separate bowl, mix Potato Starch & Wheat Flour to make Karaage Dusting Powder.
4. Lightly dust each nugget in Karaage Dusting Powder and carefully drop in Preheated Oil. Cook to achieve heated center & crunchy coating.
